Atlanta, GA – The Department of Public Safety (DPS) Capitol Police and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) urge the public to refrain from unauthorized entry of the Pullman Train Yard.  The Pullman Train Yard is a set of historical buildings of brick railroad warehouses located in the Kirkwood area of Atlanta, containing cranes, massive platforms, and trains.  Over the past several years, there have been multiple reports of trespassers at this location and its surrounding area.  Public awareness of the dangers associated with trespassing in this area is critical.

On Friday, May 13, 2016, the GBI was requested by DPS Capitol Police to investigate the death of Alexander Flynn.

On the afternoon of Friday, May13, 2016, Alexander Flynn and two (2) friends entered the Pullman Train Yard, without authorization, to skateboard and explore the property.  Flynn reportedly discovered a ladder affixed to the inside of one of the structures and climbed the ladder to the roof.  He attempted to walk across the roof top but it appears that he inadvertently stepped on a fiberglass skylight causing him to fall approximately forty (40) feet onto the concrete floor below.  Resuscitative measures were immediately administered and medical personnel responded to the location.  Despite their efforts, Flynn succumbed to his injuries.
