Ringgold City Clerk of Court Arrested by GBI on Theft and Other Related Charges
Ringgold, Georgia - On Tuesday December 8, 2015, GBI Agents arrested Ringgold City Clerk of Court, Tracy Alan Bass, 52, of Polk Lane, Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia. Bass was charged with Theft by Taking, Computer Forgery, Tampering with Evidence, and Interference with Government Property.
The criminal investigation was initiated on December 3, 2015 by the GBI’s Calhoun Regional Office at the request of the Catoosa County District Attorney’s Office and the Ringgold Police Department. The investigation originated as a result of allegations of missing court fees and fine money within Ringgold’s City Clerk of Court’s Office.
Bass was arrested without incident, booked into the Catoosa County Jail, and released on bond. The criminal investigation is ongoing.
