Methamphetamine Investigation Leads to Search Warrant, 4 arrests
COLQUITT, Ga. - On Thursday, December 3, 2015, the GBI led Pataula Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at the residence of Connie Laverne McGinnis, AKA Connie Akridge, located at 160 Pirate Drive, Colquitt, Miller County, Georgia. Also assisting in the raid were the Sylvester and Thomasville offices’ of the GBI, the Colquitt Police Department, the Miller County Sheriff’s Office, the Georgia State Patrol and the Decatur County Sheriff’s Office. The search warrant was the culmination of a two month investigation conducted by the Pataula DTF into the alleged distribution of Methamphetamine, also known by its street name “ICE,” by McGinnis. As a result of the investigation, the following arrest were made:
Connie Laverne McGinnis, AKA Connie Akridge, 56, 160 Pirate Drive, Colquitt, Ga – Possession of Methamphetamine/Distribution of Methamphetamine
Clint LaWayne Rogers, AKA Wayne Rogers, 46, 160 Pirate Drive, Colquitt, Ga – Possession of Methamphetamine
Becky Michelle Newman, 45, 239 McClendon Road, Colquitt, Ga – Possession of Methamphetamine
Brittany Dakota Hoskins, 23, 175 Todd Road Colquitt, Ga – Bench Warrant (Failure to Appear)
