Macon, Georgia - On Monday, November 9, 2015, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) arrested Charles Woodall, 34, on multiple counts of Child Molestation and related charges as a result of a criminal investigation launched by the GBI in coordination with the Bibb County District Attorney’s Office.  Woodall was a former GBI agent from December 16, 2011 until his resignation on October 7, 2015. 

After allegations of sexual misconduct by Woodall were reported to the District Attorney, the GBI initiated the investigation on September 11, 2015 at the request of the Bibb County District Attorney’s Office.  Throughout the course of the investigation, the GBI met with the District Attorney’s Office and discussed the progress and developments in the case.  The District Attorney’s Office recommended arrest warrants be pursued for Woodall.  The charges against Woodall include nine counts of Child Molestation, six counts of Enticing a Child for Indecent Purposes, one count of Electronically Furnishing Obscene material to Minors, and one count of Violation of Oath of Office.

Woodall was arrested at his family’s residence in Knoxville, Tennessee by Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) Agents and accompanying GBI Agents.  Woodall was booked into the Knox County Jail where he is awaiting extradition to Georgia.  GBI Agents and Bibb County Deputies are in Knoxville ready to transport Woodall to the the Bibb County Jail where he will be booked in and processed on the Georgia charges.
