Kingston, Georgia – On Thursday, September 10, 2015, the GBI and Bartow County Sheriff’s Office arrested former City of Kingston Clerk Rosilind Jones, 47, for theft. The arrest came after GBI initiated an investigation on March 24, 2014 at the request of the Kingston Police Chief regarding allegations of theft of city funds. As a result of the investigation and forensic financial audit performed by the GBI, a theft warrant was obtained alleging Jones stole $30,000.00 from the city between 2012 and 2013. Jones was booked into the Bartow County Jail without incident.
