GBI Arrests Clayton County Sheriff’s Office Deputy for Misuse of a License Plate Reader System
Clayton County, GA (September 2, 2026) – The GBI has arrested and charged Clayton County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Errol Farrell, Jr., age 40, of Lithonia, GA, with Misuse of a License Plate Reader System.
The Clayton County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) asked the GBI to investigate allegations of misuse of the CCSO Flock Safety System. Preliminary information indicates that Farrell used the Flock Safety System for non-law enforcement purposes.
Farrell turned himself in on September 1, 2026, and booked into the Clayton County Jail.
