Quitman, GA - On Wednesday, July 23, 2014, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation in Thomasville identified  the body found on West Hill Street in Quitman on Tuesday as Curtis Lee Baynard, 29, of 905 West Hill Street, Quitman, GA.  Baynard had been reported missing two weeks ago and a neighbor complained about a smell in the area and Quitman Police Department found the body hanging from a tree in small patch of woods behind 903 West Hill Street on Tuesday morning. An autopsy was performed on Wednesday in Macon and the body was identified utilizing dental records. The death has been ruled a suicide.
