Blairsville, GA - The GBI Medical Examiner’s Office performed autopsy examinations today on the bodies of Brandie Lawson, 27, and Todd Sparks, 47.  The results of the examination of Todd Sparks revealed the manner of his death was suicide caused by an intra-oral gunshot wound.  The results of the examination of Brandie Lawson’s autopsy are pending toxicology testing.

The Union County Sheriff’s Office requested the GBI assist the with the investigation of the deaths of Lawson and Sparks.  On Saturday, July 5, the sheriff’s office received a call that the bodies were found at 79 High Meadows Rd., Blairsville, GA.  The investigation has revealed the death of Lawson was not a random act.
