Ambrose, GA (August 20, 2024) - The GBI has arrested and charged Andrew Jowers, age 47, of Ambrose, GA, with Distribution of Marijuana and Use of Telecommunication Facility in Committing or Facilitating Commission of a Criminal Act.

On Wednesday, August 14, 2024, a joint investigation by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Southeastern Regional Drug Enforcement Office and the Broxton Police Department led to a search warrant at a home in Ambrose, Georgia. The GBI SRDEO and BPD identified Jowers as a suspect in this investigation. During the execution of the search warrant, GBI agents located a felony amount of marijuana at Jowers’ home.

Jowers was placed under arrest at Ambrose Elementary School by the Coffee County Board of Education Police Department and was taken to the Coffee County Law Enforcement Center. Jowers worked at the school as a janitor.

Multiple agencies conducted this investigation to make an impact on the current street level drug distribution within Coffee County and promote a safer place for productive citizens.
