GBI Arrests Blakely Woman in Donalsonville Theft Case
Donalsonville, Georgia (May 22, 2024) - The GBI has arrested and charged Brenda Stein, age 67, of Blakely, GA, with two counts of Felony Theft by Taking. On February 23, 2024, the GBI was requested by the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office to assist with a theft investigation at Youmans’ Machine Shop in Donalsonville, GA.
The investigation shows that Stein, a Youmans’ Machine Shop employee since 2006, had allegedly opened credit card accounts in her name under the Youmans’ Machine Shop business account. Agents and investigators determined that Stein had charged over $100,000 in personal purchases while she was employed as the secretary between 2018 and 2024.
Stein was booked into the Seminole County Jail.
