GBI Arrests Eastman Man in Homicide Investigation

Eastman, Georgia (March 19, 2024) – The GBI has arrested and charged Andrew Taylor, age 27, of Eastman, GA, with one count of aggravated assault and one count of felony murder. 

The investigation shows on Monday, March 18, 2024, at about 2:00 a.m., Dodge County deputies were dispatched to Wilson Woodard Road in reference to a shooting. When the deputies arrived, they found Zachary John Taylor, age 24, of Eastman, GA, with a single gunshot wound. The preliminary investigation revealed that Andrew Taylor, (Zachary Taylor’s brother) shot Zachary Taylor one time after a fight.  

Zachary Taylor was taken to the hospital where he died from his injuries.
