Two Arrested on Trafficking Fentanyl Charges in Lumpkin and Hall Counties
Lumpkin/Hall Counties, GA (November 15, 2023) – Dorian Dorsey, age 37, of Gainesville, GA and Amanda Howard, age 45, of Gainesville, GA, have been arrested following a joint drug investigation by the Georgia State Patrol and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office.
Police charged Dorsey and Howard with the following on November 10, 2023:

Dorian Dorsey- 2 counts trafficking fentanyl (GSP secured warrants for several traffic offenses)

Amanda Howard - 1 count trafficking fentanyl
Dorsey was taken into custody after a brief car chase in Lumpkin County, GA. GSP assisted AREDEO in the arrest.
Police seized about two ounces of suspected fentanyl found in the vehicle. The investigation conducted by the Lumpkin County Sheriff’s Office, and ARDEO, also led to a search warrant in the 3500 block of Thompson Bend, Gainesville, GA, where police discovered more drugs.
During this investigation, police seized about five ounces of suspected fentanyl with a street value of $20,000. Additional charges and arrests are expected in Lumpkin and Hall Counties.
The Lumpkin County Sheriff’s Office, the Hall County Sheriff’s Office, the Georgia State Patrol, and the Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office conducted this investigation to make an impact on the current street level drug distribution in Lumpkin County and Hall Counties and promote a safer place for productive citizens.
