GBI Investigates Death of Rossville Woman 

11/3/23 UPDATE:

The GBI has arrested and charged Christopher Bullock, age 48, of Rossville, GA, in connection to the death of Tammy Cropper.

He has been charged with the following:

• Malice Murder
• Felony Murder
• Aggravated Assault
• Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Felony.

The Hamilton County Fugitive Squad took Bullock into custody for a probation violation.  Bullock was booked into the Silverdale Detention Center and is awaiting extradition to Walker County.

ORIGINAL RELEASE:

Rossville, GA (October 6, 2023) - On Thursday, October 5, 2023, at around 3:05 p.m., the Rossville Police Department requested the GBI for assistance with a death investigation on Park City Road, Rossville, GA. Tammy Cropper, age 51, of Rossville, GA, was found dead from a gunshot wound. Christopher Bullock, age 48, of Rossville, GA, was found injured with a gunshot wound.  

Preliminary information indicates that at around 3:00 p.m., Walker County 911 dispatched Walker County Sheriff’s deputies and Rossville PD officers to a possible shooting call. Deputies and officers arrived on the scene and entered the apartment to find Cropper fatality shot inside her bedroom and Bullock with a gunshot wound.  

Bullock was taken to Erlanger Hospital in critical condition.  

This case is active and ongoing.
