Brooks County, GA (June 16, 2023) – The GBI has arrested and charged Allen Dale Rogers, 29, of Brooks County, GA, with Aggravated Assault and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime.

On Wednesday, June 14, 2023, the Brooks County Sheriff’s Office asked the GBI to investigate a death that occurred on the 100th Block of Burnette Road in Brooks County, Georgia.

The investigation indicates that Edward Sapp was shot and killed inside his home. Allen Dale Rogers, who lived next door to Sapp has been arrested in connection to Sapp's death. Rogers is currently booked at the Brooks County Jail.

This investigation is active and ongoing.
