Lumpkin, GA (November 14, 2022) – Jamarion Arkeiaz Beauford, age 19, of Lumpkin, Georgia, was arrested following a joint drug investigation by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and the Lumpkin Police Department. Beauford was charged with three counts of possession of narcotics, three counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of drug related objects, tampering with evidence, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. During the investigation, it was determined that Beauford is a member of a criminal street gang. Beauford was subsequently charged with 14 counts of participation in criminal street gang activity prohibited.

The investigation resulted from a traffic stop initiated by the Lumpkin Police Department on Beauford and a minor. Prior to the stop, Beauford stopped his vehicle in an attempt to get away before stopping for the officer. A search of an area where Beauford had stopped revealed an AR-15 rifle, an FKM 9MM handgun, a Glock Model 22 .40 caliber handgun, and a bookbag containing marijuana, cocaine, and prescription opioid pills. Beauford was taken to the Randolph County Jail.

The Lumpkin Police Department and the GBI conducted this investigation to make an impact on the current street level drug distribution within Lumpkin, GA and promote a safer place for productive citizens.
