GBI Makes Arrest in Early County Death Investigation

Blakely, GA (June 24, 2021) – On Wednesday, June 23, 2021, the GBI arrested Molly Nicole Morman, age 30, and Billy Joe Morman, Jr, age 50, both of Blakely, GA, for Felony Murder, Aggravated Assault, and Concealing a Death, in connection to human remains found in Blakely, GA in June 2021. Molly Morman was transported to the Early County Jail. Billy Morman, Jr. is currently in custody at the Troup County Jail on unrelated charges.

On Tuesday, June 8, 2021, the Early County Sheriff’s Office requested the GBI in reference to human remains being found in the backyard of a residence. Early County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report of possible human remains being found at 84 Ft. Gaines Street, Blakely, Georgia. The remains were transported to the GBI Crime Lab in Decatur for identification purposes. A positive ID of the remains is pending.
