Garden City, GA (August 24, 2020) – The GBI has obtained arrest warrants for Juan Altamirano, 40, of Savannah, GA, for Felony Murder, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, and two counts of Aggravated Assault.

On Sunday, August 23, 2020, at approximately 3:16 a.m., the GBI Statesboro Office was requested by the Garden City Police Department to assist with a homicide investigation at the Copacabana Sports Bar at 425 U.S. Hwy 80, Garden City, Chatham County, GA. Juan Altamirano is suspected of shooting and killing Armando Hernandez Suarez, 28, outside of the Copacabana Sports Bar after a verbal altercation between the two men.
