GBI Arrests Crawford County Employee

Roberta, GA (January 17, 2020) – On Friday, January 17, 2020, Lindsay Gilmore-Hudson, 39, was arrested in Crawford County, GA, charged with Theft by Taking {O.C.G.A. 16-8-2} involving the theft of over $4,000.00 of official Crawford County funds and Providing False Statements {O.C.G.A. 16-10-20}.

On November 26, 2019, the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office requested the GBI’s assistance with a possible theft/embezzlement investigation involving Crawford County Probate Court funds. The criminal investigation revealed that Lindsay Gilmore-Hudson, a seven-year employee of the Crawford County Probate Court had unlawfully embezzled the money between March 2019 and November 2019.

The GBI investigation is active and ongoing. When the investigation has been completed, it will be turned over to the District Attorney’s Office.
