Glenville, Tattnall County, GA (December 27, 2019) – On Friday, December 27, 2019, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation arrested Arthur Villalobos III, age 36, of Glennville, GA, for the murder of Pamela Kay Swope, age 65, of Glennville, GA. 

On Thursday, December 26, 2019, at approximately 6:29 a.m., the Tattnall County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call of an unresponsive person at Lot 59 Beards Creek Trailer Park located at 2697 Georgia Highway 196 in Glennville, Tattnall County, Georgia. Upon arrival, Pamela Kay Swope was found deceased.  The Tattnall County Sheriff’s Office requested the assistance of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.  An autopsy was performed on Friday, December 27, 2019 at the GBI Crime Lab with preliminary reports indicating that Swope’s manner of death was homicide. 

During the course of the investigation, the GBI was able to determine that Arthur Villalobos III was responsible for the murder of Swope.  The GBI secured an arrest warrant for Villalobos who resides at Lot 54 Beards Creek Trailer Park.  He was charged with Malice Murder.  Villalobos was apprehended in Claxton, Evans County, Georgia on Friday, December 27, 2019 with assistance from the Tattnall County Sheriff’s Office and the Evans County Sheriff’s Office.   

This joint investigation remains active and ongoing.  Once complete, it will be turned over to the Tattnall County District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.
