Augusta, GA –  The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) arrested John Tysarczyk, Jr. on Thursday, July 25, after he traveled from Virginia to Augusta to meet and have sex with what he believed to be a fourteen year old girl.  The arrest comes after a four week investigation involving undercover “chatting” with Tysarczyk. 

Tysarczyk, 36 years old, resides in Newport News, Virginia.  He is currently being held in the Richmond County Jail. 

The GBI was assisted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation Augusta Office, Richmond County Sheriff’s Office, and Columbia County Sheriff’s Office.
