Decatur, GA.– Christopher Shepard and Constance Mason were arrested this morning on charges related to the murder of Alpha Oumar Diallo.  The GBI obtained an arrest warrant for Shepard, 28 years old, charging him with one count of murder.  An arrest warrant was also obtained for Mason, 44 years old, charging her with one count of false statements and writings. The two reside at 751 North Indian Creek Drive, Clarkston.  Shepard and Mason will be held in the Dekalb County Jail pending a bond hearing. These arrests are the result of a joint investigation conducted by the Georgia Perimeter College Campus Police and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.  Dekalb County Police Department’s SWAT assisted with the arrests.

On Monday, June 10 the body of Alpha Oumar Diallo was discovered on the Georgia Perimeter College Clarkston Campus on North Indian Creek Drive.   An autopsy of Diallo revealed his death was caused by strangulation and blunt force injuries to the head. 

Diallo was not enrolled at Georgia Perimeter College.  He was a citizen of French Guinea in West Africa and had been a resident of the United States since 2008.
