Murder Investigation in Crawford County
On Monday, March 30, 2020, the GBI obtained arrest warrants for Ryan Purser, age 22, and Cidney Reason, age 20, of Crawford County, GA and charged them both with Malice Murder, Felony Murder, Aggravated Assault, Tampering with Evidence, Armed Robbery, and Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Felony.
On March 27, 2020, at approximately 8:50 p.m., the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office responded to a deceased male discovered by family members during a welfare check at his residence on Big Six Farms Road, Fort Valley, Crawford County, Georgia. The male was later identified as Fraddian Omar Robinson, age 38.
After the discovery of Robinson, the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office requested the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Region 13 Perry Office to conduct a death investigation. On Saturday, March 28, 2020, information obtained from investigative acts conducted by GBI agents and Crawford County investigators led to the execution of a search warrant at a residence in Crawford County. Agents & investigators collected numerous items of evidence related to the investigation that led to the charges against Purser and Reason. Other charges related to this investigation are pending further investigative acts.
A GBI Medical Examiner conducted an autopsy on Monday, March 30, 2020. Robinson’s cause of death is gunshot wound.
