Moultrie, GA (January 16, 2020) – On Monday, January 13, 2020, Bobby Ellerson was transferred to the Colquitt County Jail on arrest warrants obtained by GBI Agents on January 3, 2020, charging Ellerson in the murder and aggravated assault of Otis Lamar Anderson. Ellerson had been in jail on other charges stemming from prior incidents in Worth County.

Anderson was found murdered in his home at 610 1st Ave. Northwest, Moultrie, Georgia on December 12, 2018 in the morning hours. Moultrie Police requested GBI assistance at that time upon learning of Anderson’s death. Agents and Moultrie Police have been working this investigation and developed evidence and conducted interviews that led to warrants being issued for Ellerson’s arrest. During the investigation, it was determined that Ellerson and Anderson knew one another and Ellerson had been allowed to stay at Anderson’s home off and on in the past. The case file will be updated with arrest paperwork and provided to the District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.  This case is active and ongoing.

Anyone with information on either case is asked and encouraged to call the GBI at 229-225-4090 or Moultrie Police at 229-985-3131.
