Atlanta, GA (March 14, 2019) – On Wednesday, March 13, 2019, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation was requested by the Atlanta Police Department (APD) to investigate an officer involved shooting.  Preliminary information indicates that APD officers encountered two individuals in a vehicle near the intersection of Moreland Avenue SE and Arkwright Place SE.  The men have been identified as Kenneth Gilbert, Sr., age 56, and Kenneth Gilbert, age 29.  During the incident, one officer discharged his weapon.  Both men sustained injuries and were taken to Grady Memorial Hospital for treatment.  No officers were injured.
