Dalton, GA – The Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) have obtained an arrest warrant for Skyy Raven Marie Mims, 21, charging her with one count of murder.  The two agencies are investigating a murder which occurred on Sunday, March 9, shortly before midnight in Dalton.  At 11:59 PM Whitfield County 911 received a call from an individual who stated they had entered Kanku’s Express, 3385 Airport Road in Dalton, where they discovered the store clerk lying on the floor.  When deputies arrived at the scene they found the male store clerk deceased inside the store.  The name of the victim is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.  Investigators have been reviewing video from the store and following other leads.  As a result of the investigation, Skyy Raven Marie Mims was identified as a suspect.   Mims is described as a black female, 5’6” to 5’8” tall weighing between 115-130 pounds.  She is believed to be in the Atlanta area and should be considered armed and dangerous.  Anyone with information about this investigation or who knows the whereabouts of Mims is asked to call the GBI Calhoun office (706)624-1424 or the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office (706)278-3029.
