UNION CITY, GA - As result of an investigation by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and the Newton County Sheriff’s Office, two men were arrested today in connection with the sexual molestation of a 10-year-old girl.    The U.S. Marshal’s Service and the GBI made the arrests in Union City.

Danny Lee Arnold, 19, has been charged by the GBI with Child Molestation, Incest, Cruelty to Children and Sexual Battery.  Thomas Marcus Arnold, 21, the brother of Danny Arnold, has been charged by the GBI with Child Molestation,  Incest,  Cruelty to Children, Sexual Battery and Aggravated Sodomy.  The aunt of the Arnold brothers, Lisa Arnold, was arrested on charges of Incest due to evidence indicating she had had sex with her two nephews. All three are related to the victim and reside in Union City.

The Department of Family and Children Services (DFACS) had initially contacted the Newton County Sheriff’s Office when DFACS learned that the 10-year-old girl was pregnant.  The girl had relatives in Newton County.  The Sheriff’s Office contacted the GBI on May 3 for assistance in the investigation when they determined the incidents occurred in Union City in Fulton County.

The investigation revealed the molestation had been going on for several years. The girl is now in the care of other relatives.

All three of the Arnolds were taken to the Fulton County Jail.
