NASHVILLE-On Friday March 13, 2009, the GBI arrested Nashville Police Officer James Edwin Watson, 27 years of age. Watson is charged with one count of Solicitation of Sodomy. Watson was not on duty at the time of his arrest.

The charge pertains to a complaint that was received by the Berrien County Sheriff's Office, who contacted the Alapaha District Attorney's office. District Attorney Cathy Helms requested the GBI to initiate an investigation into the matter. As a result of the investigation, Watson was taken into custody Friday night at the Nashville Police Department without incident.
