DOUGLAS, GA - On October 23, 2008, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Office in Douglas was notified by other law enforcement agencies about improper internet communications and transmissions allegedly being sent from a Douglas restaurant. As a result of the information, a search warrant was conducted on the restaurant on November 21, 2008, resulting in the seizure of a computer and other property.
 
On April 27, 2010, information from the investigation was presented to a Coffee County Grand Jury and the Grand Jury indicted Dudley Bryan Vickers on 6 counts of Obscene Internet Contact with a Child and 6 counts of Solicitation for Sexual Conduct with a Child. As a result of the indictment, a bench warrant was issued for Vickers’ arrest and he turned himself in to the Coffee County Jail on April 28, 2010. Vickers, of Ambrose, is currently 32 years of age, and was the manager of the restaurant during the time frames of the alleged crimes. The investigation was conducted by the GBI, with assistance of the Waycross Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office, Southern Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office, Glynn County Police Department, and the Douglas Police Department.
