Decatur, GA – The DeKalb County Police Department requested the GBI investigate a police involved shooting on March 9. Initial reports to the GBI were that shortly after 1:00 PM DeKalb County 911 received a call regarding a suspicious person at 3028 Chamblee Tucker Road. The caller said a black male was running around an apartment complex naked. Officer Robert Olsen, a seven year veteran with the DeKalb County Police Department responded to the scene.  Once on the scene, Officer Olsen approached the subject, later identified as Anthony Hill, 27.  While Officer Olsen was giving Hill commands, Hill charged Officer Olsen. Officer Olsen fired multiple times at Hill, striking Hill. Hill was pronounced dead at the scene.     

The GBI will conduct a thorough and complete investigation to determine what occurred. When the investigation is completed, the results will be turned over to the district attorney's office.
