Brandon Scott Vinavong, 18, of Sylvester, was arrested today for the murder of Bobby Anglon.  Anglon, 66, was killed at his residence, 8894 Morey Hill Road, Mitchell County on August 23, 2013. Anglon received multiple gunshot wounds to his torso. The investigation of Anglon’s death was done by the Mitchell County Sheriff’s Office, the Worth County Sheriff’s Office, and the Thomasville office of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI).

Arrest warrants obtained by the GBI charged Vinavong with Murder, Armed Robbery, Burglary, and Possession of a Firearm during the commission of a crime.  Worth County Deputies arrested Vinavong without incident this morning at 450 Youngblood Road, Sylvester.

Vinavong will be held at the Mitchell County Jail where he will await a bond hearing. The investigation into Anglon’s murder is on-going and more arrests are expected.
