Victims Identified in Burke County Shooting
Waynesboro, GA. – On Sunday, March 16, 2014, at approximately 1:43 AM, the Burke County Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting that occurred at 4960 Highway 80 West in Waynesboro, Burke County, Georgia. Upon arrival of Sheriff’s Office personnel it was determined that several individuals had been shot while attending a party at the Highway 80 West address. The GBI was requested to assist with the investigation.
The victims were identified as Darius Smith, 21 years old, Rokeisha Graham, 17 years old, and Bromekis Donnie, 18 years old. All three were transported to Georgia Regents University Medical Center in Augusta, Georgia for treatment. Shequan Hines, 19 years old, was taken to Burke Medical Center for injuries he sustained during the shooting. Hines was released from the hospital early Sunday morning.
On Sunday, March 16, 2014, a fifth victim, Brandon Harold, 17 years old, was transported by family members to GRU Medical Center for treatment of injuries he sustained during the shooting. Harold was released from the hospital Sunday evening.
