Ellenwood, GA and Decatur, GA (February 9, 2024) – The GBI arrested and charged Vincent Simon, age 39, of Ellenwood, Georgia, on February 6, 2024, with Violations of the Georgia Controlled Substances Act following a joint drug investigation by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation West Metro Regional Drug Enforcement Office and the DeKalb County Police Department. 

The GBI and the DeKalb County Police Department executed two search warrants in the 2900 block of Ward Lake Way, Ellenwood, GA and 3400 block of Misty Valley Road, Decatur, GA. During the search warrant executions, the GBI seized approximately 135 pounds of suspected marijuana, approximately 405 grams of suspected cocaine, approximately 2 kilograms of MDMA/ecstasy, and 45 firearms.  

Simon was taken into custody and booked at the DeKalb County Jail. Further arrests and charges are pending in this ongoing investigation.  

Multiple agencies conducted this investigation to make an impact on the current street level drug distribution within DeKalb County and promote a safer place for productive citizens.
