Darien, GA. – On Tuesday, March 18, 2014 the McIntosh County Sheriff’s Office requested the GBI Region assistance reference allegations that McIntosh County school officials failed to report sexual abuse of a student by teacher, Lori Quigley. Quigley was charged earlier by McIntosh County Sheriff Office The investigation has led to arrest warrants being obtaining for the following individuals: Superintendent Ernestine “Tina” Kirby: one count of Failure to Report Child Abuse and one count of Obstruction of a Law Enforcement Officer Assistant Superintendent Larry Day: one count of Failure to report Child Abuse Principal Terrance Haywood: one count of Failure to Report Child Abuse and one count of False Statements Haywood was arrested this morning in McIntosh County. Kirby and Day have made arrangements to turn themselves in to the McIntosh Sheriff’s Office later today. # # # # #
