Update – Arrest Made in Coffee County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Investigation
Douglas, GA— On November 20, 2015, the GBI’s Douglas Regional Office and the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office arrested Wallace David Lee, age 42. Lee was charged with two counts of malice murder and one count of possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and subsequently booked into the Coffee County Jail.
On Thursday, November 19, 2015, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s Douglas Regional Office was requested by the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office to assist in the investigation of the deaths of Meghan Bowen, 33, and James Harden, 39. Earlier Thursday, Coffee County Deputies responded to 38 Meadowbrook Lane in Douglas, Georgia regarding a report of deceased persons. Upon arrival, deputies found two deceased individuals inside the residence. The incident is being investigated as a homicide.
