Darien, GA – On Tuesday, March 18, 2014 the McIntosh County Sheriff’s Office requested the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s assistance reference allegations that McIntosh County school officials failed to report sexual abuse of a student by teacher, Lori Quigley. Quigley was charged earlier by McIntosh County Sheriff Office. The investigation led to arrest warrants being obtained for the following individuals: Superintendent Ernestine “Tina” Kirby was charged with one count of Failure to Report Child Abuse and one count of Obstruction of a Law Enforcement Officer Assistant Superintendent Larry Day was charged with one count of Failure to Report Child Abuse Principal Terrance Haywood was charged with one count of Failure to Report Child Abuse and one count of False Statements Haywood was arrested this morning in McIntosh County. Kirby and Day have made arrangements to turn themselves in to the McIntosh Sheriff’s Office later today. # # # # #
