GBI Investigates Death of a Four Week Old Infant
Dawson, GA – On July 30, Dawson Police Department requested that the Georgia Bureau of Investigation assist with a death investigation involving a four week old infant. Earlier that morning Terrell County 911 received a call regarding an infant who was not breathing. The baby was discovered by his mother, Annie Jackson, when she awakened and found her infant son, Sherrine Stover, Jr., not breathing. EMS personnel and the Dawson Police Department responded to the residence at 931 Johnson Street in Dawson and transported Stover to a local hospital where the infant was pronounced dead.
The infant’s death is under investigation and pending an autopsy.
