Hancock County Sheriff Requests GBI Assistance

Sparta, Ga. – Hancock County Sheriff Tomlyn Primus has requested assistance from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) with the investigation into the assault of a Warren County football coach which occurred after last Friday’s football game between Hancock Central and Warren County High Schools.

This afternoon, GBI agents met with Sheriff Primus as well as with Glenn Ingram, Chief of the Hancock County Board of Education Police Department, to discuss the case and the results of their investigation to date.
 
GBI Director Vernon indicates he will provide the necessary resources from the GBI to assist the local authorities in pursuing a thorough investigation into the incident.
