Woman's Body Found in Pearson

PEARSON- On Sunday, October 26, 2008, at approximately 12:07 p.m., Tri-County 911 received a call from an unknown female in reference to a body on the side of the road in Pearson, Ga. Pearson Police responded to McCranie Street and after searching the area for several minutes discovered the body of a white female near a ditch on the side of McCranie Street. The GBI’s Douglas office was requested to assist in the investigation.  

The victim has been identified as 26-year-old Shawna Webber of Pearson. The cause of death is not known at this time, and an autopsy is scheduled for today.  Foul play is suspected.
