GREENVILLE, GA - The Georgia Bureau of Investigation and the Meriwether County Sheriff’s Department are seeking the public’s help in identifying a black male who was the apparent victim of a homicide.

On January 13, 2007, skeletal remains were found in Meriwether County off Bob White Road, 7/10 of a mile from the intersection of Old Durand Road less than five miles southwest of the City of Greenville.  The body was in a wooded area approximately 150 feet from the dam of a small pond on the property.  The body is believed to be that of a black male, approximately 5’6” to 6’2”, with unknown hair or eye color.  The date of death is believed to be between 2 weeks and 2 months from the time of discovery.  Dental records are available.

To assist in the efforts to identify this man, a facial reconstruction was completed by GBI Forensic Artist Marla Lawson.
