Federal, State and Local Authorities to Search Northeast Georgia for Body of John Bryant

CLEVELAND - On Thursday and Friday of this week, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation will be assisting local, state, and federal authorities from Georgia and North Carolina with searches in Northeast Georgia in an effort to locate the body of North Carolina hiker John Bryant.   The area in Georgia to be searched will include Towns and Union Counties.   Federal, State and local authorities in Tennessee will also be searching in Eastern Tennessee.

Numerous sources have identified Gary Michael Hilton as being in this area of Georgia in late October 2007. 

The GBI is seeking input from the public on any sightings of Hilton in this area of Northeast Georgia. If anyone recalls seeing Hilton, or his white van, in Towns County in late October, please contact the GBI’s Cleveland Office at 706-348-4866 or toll-free at 1-888-233-5680.
