Central State Hospital Patient Arrested for Murder

Milledgeville -Today, Special Agents with the GBI Milledgeville Office charged and arrested Saleeban Adan, 30, a patient at Central State Hospital (CSH), with the murder of fellow patient Christopher Yates.

At approximately 9:00PM on Sunday, April 5, a CSH employee making routine rounds found Yates deceased in his room in the Cook Building, the maximum security facility at CSH. An autopsy performed by a GBI medical examiner indicates that Yates died from asphyxia by strangulation with blunt force trauma as a contributing factor.

Adan was transported to the Baldwin County Sheriff's Department for processing and was subsequently returned to the Cook Building at Central State Hospital. The investigation was conducted by the Milledgeville GBI Office and Central State Hospital Police Department.
