GBI Brings State Charges against David Dietz

MADISON, GA - At the request of Madison Police Chief Travis Stapp, agents with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation's Milledgeville Regional Office have been investigating the shooting incident where David Dietz allegedly fired shots at federal, state (Georgia State Patrol) and local law enforcement last night at the Red Roof Inn in Madison.    

This morning, agents obtained state warrants charging Dietz with 5 counts of Aggravated Assault.   Other state charges are possible.
