Autopsy Completed on Meredith Emerson

DECATUR – Dr. Kris Sperry, Chief Medical Examiner for the State of Georgia, has determined that Meredith Emerson died from blunt force trauma to the head.    Dr. Sperry indicated that after Ms. Emerson received the lethal injuries, she was decapitated. 

Dr. Sperry has discussed the results of the autopsy with Northeastern Judicial Circuit District Attorney Lee Darragh, who will receive the final autopsy report when completed.
