2005 Georgia Bingo Annual Report
During calendar year 2005, 266 nonprofit organizations were licensed to conduct bingo games in Georgia with approximately 11,198 approved bingo workers/officers.
Gross receipts for all licensees reporting totaled $26,065,164 in 2005, which was an 18% decrease over 2004 receipts of $32,087,623. The highest gross receipts by any single license holder totaled $315,090 in 2005, which was an 8.0% decrease over 2004 receipts of $343,226.
Prizes awarded to players totaled $17,738,309 or 68% of gross receipts as compared to $21,064,358 or 65.5% in 2004.
Charitable donations reported by all licensees amounted to $870,779 or 3% of gross receipts in 2005 as compared to $1,058,435 or 3.2% in 2004.
Expenses reported by licensees to run bingo games totaled $5,839,100 in 2005 or 22% of receipts.
Net proceeds reported by licensees after pay-out of prizes, game expenses and reported donations, totaled $1,777,700 in 2005 or 7% of gross bingo receipts.
