2001 Georgia Bingo Annual Report
During calendar year 2001, 252 nonprofit organizations were licensed to conduct bingo games in Georgia with approximately 12,915 approved bingo workers/officers.
Gross receipts for all licensees totaled $29,122,272 in 2001, which was a 0.56% increase over 2000 receipts of $28,957,891. The highest gross receipts by any single license holder totaled $318,222 in 2001, which was a 15.8% increase over 2000 receipts of $267,835. The average gross receipts were $115,564.
Prizes awarded to players totaled $18,546,302 or 63.7% of gross receipts as compared to $18,707,541 or 64.5% in 2000.
Charitable donations reported by all licensees amounted to $1,123,178 or 3.9% of gross receipts in 2001 as compared to 1,098,048 or 3.8% in 2000.
Expenses reported by licensees to run bingo games totaled $6,740,339 in 2001 or 23.2% of receipts.
Net proceeds reported by licensees after pay-out of prizes, game expenses and reported donations, totaled $2,663,179 in 2001 or 9.2% of gross bingo receipts.
